While recently in LA, Otsego Farms owner/trainer Jim Webber made a brief guest appearance on the popular ABC television show "Dancing with the Stars".

Ah, and so it begins. Fame and fortune and fortune and fame and the hard-working boy turns instead to game. Jim, one cannot stay out to all hours with the glamor crowd and still be at gallops at 4:30 a.m. Is it any coincidence that this year is proceeding so poorly for you while you carress starlets. I implore you, my friend, snuff out the flame on one end of that candle and get your stable back on track. Repent, and ye shall be saved!
You know Bill, I was thinking the same thing. Can it be mere chance that my troubles on the track have come at the same time as my burning of the candle from both ends?
I write this response from my suite in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. When I get back to my room at about 4am after taking in a show at the House of Blues and a little gambling, I'll think about what you said.
